Local roofer has Little League covered

Moorpark-based GreatWay Roofing installed a new roof on the concession stand/headquarters of Moorpark Little League this week to celebrate GreatWay's 10th anniversary and to help the league during difficult fiscal times.
The donation is much appreciated, said Gary Kelman, president of Moorpark Little League. The roof of the 1,200squarefoot structure was badly in need of repair, but the nonprofit organization could not raise the funds to do it in a timely manner due to the economy, he said.
"GreatWay Roofing showed leadership in stepping forward to tackle the project," Kelman said.
The value of the gift is about $4,700, including the donation of the shingles by H&R Roofing Supply of Oxnard.
"We wanted to give back to our community to celebrate a decade in business," said Rod Menzel, founder and president of GreatWay Roofing.
The work was completed this week so the Little League could host its annual spring break tournament.
